change in volume or characteristic of your wastewater

Result

Permittees are required to provide at least 30 days advance notification to MWRA before taking any action which may substantially change the volume or character of its discharge.  MWRA will inform the permittee if the proposed change requires submission of a new permit application.  If MWRA requires a new permit application, the permittee will need to file one and obtain a modified permit before taking the action described in the notice.  If MWRA does not require a new permit application, the permittee may make the change as long as it does not result in violating the regulations or the permittee's Sewer Use Discharge Permit.  If required, contact us and we will handle this change in status.
